Welcome to a New Week! Here’s to new beginnings, exciting ventures, and the open road!

Hello, Elite Members and Friends!

We’re thrilled to be connecting with you from the charming, historic town of Georgetown, Colorado!

As we kick off another week, we want to wish you nothing but success and positivity in all your endeavors. Whether you're navigating new business opportunities, embarking on adventures, or simply enjoying the journey, we’re here to support you every step of the way.

In this week’s newsletter, we’re diving into some crucial topics: the security of NFC business cards and the potential risks of tracking or hacking. We’ll also share some exciting personal updates from our bus life, including a heartwarming addition to our family.

So, grab a cup of coffee, settle in, and let’s make this week one to remember!

Are NFC Digital Business Cards Secure?

As more businesses transition to digital solutions, NFC business cards are becoming increasingly popular. But how secure are they?

NFC (Near Field Communication) technology is designed with security in mind. Unlike traditional business cards, which can be easily lost or stolen, NFC cards require close proximity—typically within a few centimeters—to transmit data. Additionally, the data exchanged via NFC is completely up to the individual, meaning that the user chooses what information gets shared through their Elite Card. Elite Card NFC technology is meant to only share information- never pulling or transmitting unauthorized data, this provides peace of mind for the user & individual it’s being shared with.

Can NFC Business Cards Be Tracked/Hacked?

One common concern we hear is whether NFC business cards can be tracked or hacked. It’s an important question.

The good news is that NFC technology is inherently designed to resist such threats. Tracking an NFC card without the owner’s consent is nearly impossible. The technology operates on a “request and response” basis, meaning it doesn’t broadcast information unless prompted by a nearby device. This feature makes unauthorized tracking & hacking highly unlikely.

In Laymans terms, Elite NFC cards will only transmit the information/content the user has chosen to be displayed. For example: Don’t include any sensitive information to your digital card profile, only include the information you want to be shared.

For businesses- this means you can confidently share your Elite digital business cards, & know exactly what is being shared. For individuals/clients receiving- Elite Cards will not pull any data from the person it is being shared with, it will only transmit the given information to the device. This provides a balance of convenience and security, making it an ideal choice for modern networking.
